    Common questions

    Are the rates in this calculator official?

    No. The starting values are examples. Actual fees depend on your product category, shop type (Marketplace or Mall) and the programmes you have joined, so change them to match your Seller Centre.

    Is my data stored?

    No. Everything is calculated in your browser. Nothing you type is sent to our server or saved.

    How is the own-website figure worked out?

    For each order that moves to your own site, we swap the platform commission, service fee and fixed fee for the payment fees CHIP charges for the method your customer uses. Postage, voucher and ad costs stay the same. It is an estimate of the difference per order, before the cost of bringing traffic to the site.

    Should I stop selling on Shopee or TikTok Shop?

    Not necessarily. Most small sellers do better keeping the marketplaces for finding new customers and using their own website for repeat buyers. Our guide on marketplace fees and your own website explains how.
